HTC Sued by Apple Over 20 iPhone Patents

HTC has been sued by Apple for infringing on 20 iPhone-related patents. The court filing by Apple says "that a bevy of HTC-made cellphones — including the Nexus One, T-Mobile’s G-1 and the MyTouch 3G — use patent-protected technologies owned by Apple without having a license for them." Apple’s asking for a permanent injunction, which would bar HTC from importing or selling phones here that use these patents, along with triple damages with maximum interest (read: a lot of money).

  2. Thank you for the great article, I am very excited. I have had my phone for simply over a month now and am in reality taking part in all the free apps from the android marketplace, having the ability to have the internet and navigation at my fingertips all of the time. The one less than idea feature is the picture/video text messages, as they don’t seem to be downloading properly.

  3. Sometime I wonder what would have happen to Apple if all the patents they stole from other companies would have turn on them…

Apple wants to rule the world with only their too expensive stuff…

When Obama asked Apple when they would expect Apple’s production to return to America. Apple told them never… they average 40 000$ profit per Chinese employee, why would they come back here?

Apple is in the same boat as oil companies. Except we don’t absolutely need them! As long as we can get alternatives.

This is the reason I refuse to get anything from Apple, not because it is not nice…Because their are not a responsible company like they want us to think of them….
